The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, as a file
CMS demonstration, 1 July 2026–31 December 2027, $50 per month for Wegovy (pen and pill), Foundayo, and Zepbound KwikPen. Not Part D. Not TrOOP. Not Extra Help.

Prior authorization is a clinician filing, not a patient portal trick
Bridge and most commercial GLP-1 coverage require prior authorization. The patient carries facts. The prescriber submits. VitalHound prints a checklist, not a determination.

True out-of-pocket does not see the Bridge $50
TrOOP is the Part D accumulator toward the annual threshold. Medicare GLP-1 Bridge payments do not count. Extra Help does not convert them. Cash does not count either.

Extra Help is a Part D subsidy. Bridge is not Part D.
Extra Help / Low-Income Subsidy can lower Part D cost-sharing. It does not reduce the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge $50 and does not apply to manufacturer cash.

15 October–7 December 2026 is for 2027 coverage
Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs 15 October–7 December. In 2026 you are choosing 2027 plans while the GLP-1 Bridge still exists. The cliff is 31 December 2027.

The demonstration sunsets 31 December 2027
Medicare GLP-1 Bridge is scheduled to end 31 December 2027. The $50 month is not a standing Part D benefit. Formulary and cash remain.
