What Extra Help attaches to
Extra Help (LIS) reduces Part D premiums and copays for people who qualify. It is administered in the Part D world.
It does not attach to the GLP-1 Bridge $50. It does not attach to LillyDirect or NovoCare cash. It does not legalize a commercial savings card on Medicare.
When LIS should change the recommended path
If the prescription is for type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe OSA, or MASH, and Part D covers that product, Extra Help may make the Part D copay lower than $50 and the spend may count toward TrOOP. That is the comparison VitalHound flags on the intake checkbox.
When LIS does nothing
Plan exclusion for weight-management GLP-1s. Bridge demonstration months. Cash months. A closed Bridge file because a 2026 Part D GLP-1 already filled — LIS does not reopen it.
Applying
Extra Help is a Social Security / Medicare application, not a VitalHound feature and not a Bridge form. Do not send LIS paperwork to the demonstration processor and expect a cheaper $50.
