15 October–7 December 2026 is for 2027 coverage

Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs 15 October–7 December. In 2026 you are choosing 2027 plans while the GLP-1 Bridge still exists. The cliff is 31 December 2027.

The window

Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is 15 October through 7 December. Coverage chosen in autumn 2026 starts 1 January 2027. That year is still inside the GLP-1 Bridge (through 31 December 2027).

VitalHound does not enroll anyone. Medicare.gov and SHIP counselors are the enrollment rails.

What to read on each 2027 formulary

Presence or absence of Wegovy (pen and pill), Foundayo, and Zepbound; tier; PA; pharmacy network. Whether the plan is PDP or MA-PD.

A low premium that hides a blank GLP-1 list is how January becomes a cash month.

What not to do in this window

Do not change plans solely to 'join Bridge.' Bridge is not a plan. Do not drop a working Part D GLP-1 to chase $50 if a 2026 fill already makes you ineligible.

Do not treat Extra Help as a Bridge discount when comparing plan cards.

Look one cliff ahead

Autumn 2027 AEP is the shop for life after $50. Use 2026 AEP to keep pharmacies and clinicians usable so that 2027 shop is possible.

Commercial OE is a different season

Employer and ACA windows are not this paragraph. Savings cards live there. They still exclude government drug coverage.

Questions

If I miss AEP, do I lose Bridge?
Missing AEP means you generally keep the plan you already have. Bridge eligibility is separate. A plan you cannot use at the pharmacy is still a practical loss.
Can I enroll in Bridge during AEP?
You do not enroll in Bridge. You enroll in Part D or MA-PD. A clinician files the demonstration PA.
Does the Wegovy pill price step on 31 August affect AEP?
That step is cash, not a Medicare premium. It matters if your 2027 plan excludes the drug.
Should I pick the plan my neighbor uses for $50?
No. Their indication and prior fills are not yours.
