What it is
Wegovy pill is oral semaglutide, launched January 2026. It is not Rybelsus, not injectable Wegovy, and not Foundayo. The swallow sequence — empty stomach, small amount of water, then wait before food, drink, or other orals — is part of using it.
Educational only. The current label governs the exact wait and fluid amount.
Doors
Bridge: $50 if approved, through 31 December 2027, no TrOOP, no Extra Help. Commercial-plus-card: as low as about $25 when legal. Cash: 4 mg $149 through 31 August 2026, then $199; maintenance often $299 via NovoCare.
Part D if the written indication is T2D, moderate-to-severe OSA, or MASH — and only if that product is what the plan covers for that use. Do not rename Rybelsus into this file.
Who should not default to the pill
Anyone who cannot protect the empty-stomach window or whose morning orals already own that hour. Foundayo or Wegovy injection are the routine alternatives on Bridge.
August 2026 cash step
The 4 mg promotional cash price steps to $199 on 31 August 2026. That date does not change Bridge $50. It does change uninsured math.
Packet lines
Say 'Wegovy pill.' List morning medicines. Record whether the window is workable. Do not write 'oral semaglutide' alone — that string also names Rybelsus.
